Perforation Optimization of Intensive-Stage Fracturing in a Horizontal Well Using a Coupled 3D-DDM Fracture Model

Intensive-stage fracturing in horizontal wells is a potentially new technology for reservoir stimulations of deep shale oil and gas. Due to strong stress interaction among the dense fractures, fracture geometry field are very complicated, which bottlenecks this technology. Aiming at simulating intensive-stage fracturing, coupled three-dimensional (3D) model multiple-fracture simultaneous propagation proposed. The dynamic behavior was analyzed using model. perforation parameters were optimized improving equilibrium. results showed that exterior fractures multiple penetrated by well become main while interior drastically restrained. widths increased with increasing injection time, decreased time. An extruded region created restrained fractures. Only cluster number did not improve equilibrium fracturing. To equilibrium, we suggest designing more numbers each ensuring both diameter greater than those ones.
